Abstract: This paper describes my work on compilation of LISPLOGclauses into LISPfunctions and an improved runtimesystem for LISPLOG, in which these functions will be interpreted. The first part of this paper introduces and comments on the implemented functions, while the reasons for fundamental design decisions will be shown in the second part. Thus the first part is a program documentation, whereas the second part gives more general informations. Furthermore the paper discusses in detail the question whether it makes sense to use (portable) LISP as the target language for a Hornclause compiler. This is the main point of the second part of this paper, and I hope it will become apparent by comparison with Warren's abstract machine, that (portable) LISP is not very suitable for this purpose.
