Abstract: Despite the scientific-technical progress in developing significantly more efficient powertrains as well as the overall increasing environmental awareness, the share of the transport sector in global GHG emissions has substantially been increased as one of the only industries since 1990 to 25% in Europe. Essentially traceable to the rise in world population and the changed society needs boosting the private and commercial use of emission-based mobility concepts, in the private sector there is an initial rethinking in acquiring or sharing mobility options. Supporting this change in mindset, behavior and lifestyle, this contribution presents a sustainable mobility concept advisor (SMCA) tool allowing to assess an individually best mobility solution for daily life and/or infrequently travels. Not only being limited to ecological but also technical and economic aspects, thus the easy-operable GreenTrail application visualizes the most preferable alternatives in a typical structure of route planning tools.
