Abstract: | Future possibilities for manufacturing companies using cyber-physical systems (CPS) are often described by production characteristics, which however existed long before CPS. Therefore, this paper deals with the unambiguous identification and structuring of CPS descriptive production properties to develop a common understanding across papers and makes a proposal in the form of a classification system for production characteristics, which are established in scientific literature. The paper presents an identification method consisting of a distance-based network visualization to describe the relationship between CPS and production characteristics as an overall result of a comprehensive reference analysis, which is capable of representing the current state of science. |
