| Abstract: | By undermining the notions of 'autofiction' and 'exofiction' fictional metabiographies call into question the ontological boundary between fact and fiction. Both the complex structure and the metabiographic selfconsciousness of the narrator bring to the fore the creative and interpretive role of the biographer as well as the anti-illusionistic effects of meta-narrative interventions. |
