| Abstract: | - Water effects in fluoroindate glasses have been investigated. Glasses with base composition 40InF3∙20ZnF2∙20SnF2∙16BaF2∙2GdF2∙2NaF were exposed in a Soxhlet apparatus to water at 80°C. Corrosion was less intense than the one observed for fluorzirconate glasses. Vibrational spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and x-rays diffraction were applied in order to characterize the glass surface. |
