Abstract: -
The luminescence observed through ¥â-excitation (4300 A.) in CsI crystals contg. ¡30 ppm. divalent impurities disappeared in pure crystals and was considerably intensified in the doped crystals. A change in the glow curve of the thermoluminescence was also observed. In addn. to the light emission at 4300 A., the ¥â-radiation could stimulate, at 77¡ÆK., an emission in the uv (3500 A.) by excitation at 7600 and 10,000 A.
