Abstract: | Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Hydriereigenschaften von intermetallischen Phasen aus den Phasensystemen M-B (M = Li, Mg, Al, Ti, Ca), Li-Al, Li-Ga und K-Ga. The work concentrates on hydrogenation properties of intermetallic phases from the phase systems M-B (M = Li, Mg, Al, Ti, Ca), Li-Al, Li-Ga and K-Ga. Furthermore the compounds LiAlSi and Li₃N have been investigated regarding their reactivity towards hydrogen. The borides with the exception of LiB are inert towards hydrogen. LiB decomposes to LiH and B. In the phase system Li-Al the phases LiAl, Li₃Al₂, Li₂Al and Li₉Al₄ were exposed to hydrogen. They commonly decompose to LiH and Lithium poorer compounds, mostly LiAl. LiAl itself reacts with hydrogen to LiH and LiAl with decreased cell parameters. In situ neutron powder di raction experiments were conducted, which shed light on the reaction pathways of the decomposition under hydrogen. In the K-Ga-H system a new phase was discovered and its X-ray structure was solved. KGaHₓ crystallizes orthorhombic in Amm2 with lattice parameters: a= 4.5232(2) Å, b= 5.4530(2) Å, c= 12.0442(4) Å, V= 297.07(2)ų. The following atomic parameters were found: Ga1 (0 0 0.0) Ga2 (1/2 0 0.9096(5)) K1 (0 0 0.2948(8)) K2 (1/2 0 0.5848(8)). Contrary to literature, LiAlSi does not show any reactivity towards hydrogen. The reaction of Li₃N to LiNH₂ was also explored using in situ neutron powder diraction. |
