Abstract: A nearly linear arrangement of the four metal atoms Cr, Sn, In, and Mo, as well as an eclipsed arrangement of the [M(CO)5] fragments, in complex 1 was shown by X-ray structure analysis. Complex 1 was formed by successive addition of [M(CO)5 (thf)] to the bridgehead centers of Sn(OtBu)3In. The two centers differ in their basicity.
