Aim of this thesis was the investigation and establishing of a composite (organic-inorganic)on basis of cellulose and cutouts of silicates. The emphasis was thereby on the derivation of the cellulose fibers without their activation and dissolution respectively in conventional solvents whereby the mechanical properties of the cellulose fibers in the composite remained. For the derivation were used organo-functional silanes in order to reach a high cross-linking degree as well as a temperature stability of the composite as possible. At first the cellulose fibers were silylated with Tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) at ambient temperature and brought to the network afterwards under addition of a sodium hydroxide solution (20 % m/m). Through dynamical-mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) it was stated that the composite yielded a brittle and moderate temperature stable material with TEOS. In combination with Glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane (GPTES) in a ratio of TEOS: GPTES of 8:1 the impact strength as well as the temperature behaviour compared to cellulose-polyester and celluloseepoxy resin systems could considerably be improved and exceeded. |
